The ARCE Collection is complex and includes photographic images, key maps, reports, and other materials.
Key maps and photographic images:
One of the most unique aspects of the ARCE collection is that some of the photographic images have corresponding key maps. Key maps indicate the position from which a photograph was taken. Each photographic record contains a field with the key map reference number as well as a link to the corresponding key map. By clicking on the link, the corresponding map will pop-up and it will be possible to identify the precise location where the photograph was taken using the reference number.
